Daniel 3:21 So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans and other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace. The king's command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego
That Wile E. Coyote is such a determined creature. He went to such lengths to get that poor roadrunner. Since his appearance in 1948, Wile E. Coyote has chased and chased after that bird. Here's some interesting facts though: Coyotes mostly feed on rabbits, gophers, mice, prairie dogs, rats, squirrels, antelope, goats, sheep - very rarely any poultry. Also, the roadrunner, while known for it's speed, can reach up to 20 mph - pretty fast for a bird. However, the coyote can get up to 30 mph in a trot - up to 40 mph if he's being chased. HMMMMM. So the question is this, if that Wile E. Coyote doesn't really even eat things like the roadrunner - and could literally outrun it if he so desired - why all the crazy antics?
King Nebuchadnezzar is doing the same thing. He's chasing after these poor boys that he doesn't really even want. He liked these boys earlier and now all of a sudden they've become his target. He's pulled out his ACME guide of how to trap and kill and he set his plan in motion. He turned up the heat of the furnace and called on his strongest guards. And just like the coyote, the beginning of his plan has already failed. The guards that he put in charge of throwing Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego into the furnace were killed by the same heat that he had increased. Shouldn't that have been a sign right there - you're messing with the wrong guys.
We, too, often set our minds on things we really have no business messing around with. Things in our life that God never intended for us to chase after. Sure, we might be physically capable of obtaining these things - but for whatever reason - God has set it outside of our reach for a purpose. If we set our minds on seeking out a relationship with Him, everything else will fall in line. MEEP MEEP. . .

Meep meep, lol I love it. I tell my kids, no matter how bad you think you are, there is always someone badder out there or as my son says; More bad, or is that my bad? Who knows anymore. Seriously though some people never learn and will keep trying to prove a point no matter how much they know they are losing.
This for some reason reminds me of a cruise I was on. It was vacation and I decided after watching black jack on TV that it was easy and any fool could do it. Notice I said fool. So I go into the casino and find a friendly looking dealer and sit down with my 20 dollars. The way I saw it, I would break this bank in a matter of hours and retire and live the life of luxury. Less than a minute later (no lie), my 20 dollars was gone and I have never sat at a black jack table again. ]
That life of luxury is out of my reach. However I have everything that I need and God takes care of me. Great post.
Spritual warfare is real and daily we all need to pray for God to show us the battles. I'm convinced satan is pleased when I am about good things that are not my focus that God has destined for me. Keeping clear what my call and important agenda according to Heaven is critical to me pleasing Father God. My heart cry is to know God is pleased with me.
Rabbit chasing away from God's call on my life is a win for satan. Great post.
Seek first the kingdom of heaven, and all things will be added. Amen! I love your writing.
